Wow, my first time that I go first with the comments smile smile

Great little story thumbsup

You set a very oppressing mood here. It all seemed so final, but I guess we can always count on our hero to save the day, can't we?

Keep 'em coming your little vignettes with the unpredictable endings I like so much.

Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age.

Wow she just got up and started dusting! lOL Well I would think she'd be a little more joyous then that but the story was pretty good anyway. Laura

Martha just goes to do the dusting because she was at peace with the idea of dying. Sure, she'd rather be alive, but they had resigned themselves to the idea and were calm and collected about it.

That was great. I like the tone you set and Martha's thoughts about not wanting her son to be okay if everyone else were to die. It was very thought provoking. smile

Clark: Lois, you're kinda babbling.
Lois: I know. See, I never babble.
Clark: Are you kidding? You're a brook.

Great job.

At last, he realized why everyone had gathered. They didn’t want to pray, or make their peace with God.

They just didn’t want to die alone.
Those lines were really powerful for me, in particular.
