"I can't *stop* feeling it," he said in anguished tones.
Lois dropped her head to hide her smile. When she'd clawed back a shred of control, she said"Look at me, Clark."
That was my favorite line out of the whole thing. I love she comes right out and says it. Then her reaction when Clark doesn't even TRY to lessen it. It just struck me as really sweet.
Great job! I'm still loving the story and will anxiously be awaiting more.
