Sorry if I sounded disappointed; I think it was mainly the sipping-soda-while-thinking-it's-coffee effect. I hadn't expected Clark to be acting so deliberately on Jeff's behalf. It makes sense, though.
The other thing that bothers me is that the mini-epilogue at the end seems to negate the need for a sequel.
