Ahem. Sorry. Dunno how in the world I managed to only just now read this heart-breaking vignette. (Well, there was the small matter of college graduation, but still. I've been a bad, bad FoLC as of late).
Seriously, Dave, this was so heart-wrenching and just wonderfully written. The emotion you evoked in so few words was mind-blowing. Thanks for sharing this on the boards.
