I was watching an old sci-fi movie tonight, about a guy who kept getting pulled into WWI at the worst possible times. It was a clever premise, and one that's very, *very* adaptable, so...
A character keeps getting pulled into another era. They can't directly control it. Maybe it's random, or maybe it's triggered by something specific (in this movie it was someone specific from the era being in mortal danger; in another movie called The Time Traveler's Wife, it was caused by the traveler's own stress if I recall correctly).
So, who keeps falling through time? What era do they land in? How do they explain themselves, and does anyone believe them? What do they change?
I realize this has the potential for "daunting epics", so feel free to just spitball ideas here if you don't feel up to anything else.
