Laura: Let's see if I can squeeze in another response before I have to go pick up the kids.
Fantastic
!
Kids can wait! (jk - I have time.)
The team is back together.
Yes, since I had Lois take over for Perry, I felt it would be wrong without bringing him back where he belonged.
I loved Clark's confusion...how bad went to good so quickly for him, and he needed a catch-up to really understand the current situation. The brief moments that Lois and Clark 'found' each other in this section were great...the hand holding, the hug, how they ended the chapter encircled.
This was an experiment in subtlety. Due to the overabundance of spectators to Lois and Clark's growing feelings, overtness would have to wait and their emotions had to be expressed non-verbally.
My favorite line--which Susan quoted already (great minds, huh?
)
A favorite of mine too. I'm glad it worked. I could picture it in my head, Lois and Clark drawing near to each other, talking of love, only to have Perry remind them that they aren't alone.
Can't wait to read the ending!
I hope it satisfies.
