Love this!
What a fantastic chapter. What you kept from the episode of the show (and what you left out/changed) really added so much. I like how you handled everything...and I also enjoyed how you kept things--like that lovely flirty banter about Lois being Clark's date (as they leave the ceremony) in tact.
I have to agree--Clark giving Lois the manuscript is an excellent idea. Lois tends to always do that 'jump before checking the water level' thing, and combine that with feeling like her best friend has been lying to her? Face to face probably isn't the best way to go
. Time to process, examine the 'facts', feel what needs to be felt--Clark 'gave' all of this to Lois.
Now she can go to him when she is ready...
