I was thinking about powers that showed up during or after the NK arc and the only one I could think of would be the telepathy. I'm sure it would kick in much more strongly earlier had he lost his sight longer than he did. Well, there was the whole "Clark wakes up and knows Lois is in danger" scene in HIWTHI. But I just always assumed that the telepathy thing only worked Kryptonian to Kryptonian. I thought there was evidence to the contrary in the NK arc. Just before he left she heard him say "I love you" from the window. Also I thought the scene where Nor invaded also had them broadcasting their telepathy. Now on whether they can hear US, that's vague but plausible enough that it's fix-possible. The scene where he's looking at their rings and said that he knew she was thinking of him. I think he was receiving from Lois, but it was just emotions because humans typically are not telepathic.
CLARK: No. I'm just worried I'm a jinx.
JONATHAN: A jinx?
CLARK: Yeah. Let's face it, ever since she's known me, Lois's been kidnapped, frozen, pushed off buildings, almost stabbed, poisoned, buried alive and who knows what else, and it's all because of me.
