That bit where he's sitting on the curb all desolate and despairing. But I've finally, *finally* figured out why! It's all the happy scenes. The really happy scenes followed by the... the empty scenes that really conveys the utter loss. It's heartbreaking (as I see you've been told <g>) and brilliant. Absolutely.

Now... I'm off to watch it a seventh time. Must have some sort of masochistic tendency... wink
