Newsmax had originally reported about half of Obama's donations were from small amounts from ordinary persons. Turns out it is MUCH less than that.
Newly released campaign finance records show that of the $600 million his campaign has raised overall,
one-quarter has come from donors who gave $200 or less. According to the
Washington Post "That is actually slightly less, as a percentage, than President Bush raised in small donations during his 2004 race"
