PC Pro magazine - that's a highly reputable UK computer magazine which John used to get every month - you'll have seen it lying around the house.
Incidentally, the page from the PC Pro website has links to all of its Labs reviews of MP3 players of similar type to the iRiver, so you can look at those and compare. You'll have to register to view more than one page, though.
