The main problem with trying to do a made-for-tv/direct-to-vid live action movie is that Lane Smith (Perry White) passed away over seven years ago. They can't exactly replace him and considering how "Stop the Presses" went/ended I can't see them attempting to put Lois back in the position of Editor-in-Chief, so that means they'd need to replace him with somebody... but who? I can't see it working.

An animated might work, but it seems like they're trying to make the DCAU go more in line with the current track at DCE (i.e. New52 ish), which means that "Lois and Clark", quite frankly is likely to be ignored.

CLARK: No. I'm just worried I'm a jinx.
JONATHAN: A jinx?
CLARK: Yeah. Let's face it, ever since she's known me, Lois's been kidnapped, frozen, pushed off buildings, almost stabbed, poisoned, buried alive and who knows what else, and it's all because of me.
