My reaction to the article reminds me of the time I was checking out a book at the library, and my library card stirred up an issue. The guy behind the desk radioed to his supervisor in his most serious voice, "We have an issue." And I stood there saying to myself, okay, world hunger is an issue. The Challenger explosion? That was an issue. But my *library* card?! Where in the world am I going with this? you might ask. Well, I'd die. I'd have an absolute conniption if we dropped the possessive apostrophe. I now completely understand the librarian behind the desk who called my library card "an issue." Dropping the possessive apostrophe? Definitely an issue for me.
