I used "one line" instead of sentence to be vague. I was trying to avoid the "one sentence" that somehow runs on for a half a screen. On the other hand I don't have a problem with two tiny sentences.

Clark would have to come up with a way to prove to Lois that Lex wasn't Superman, preferably without revealing to Lois that Clark Kent, in fact, was!!

Mrs. Cox, wearing a tight skimpy Superwoman costume, slid her arm around Clark's waist.

Sighing, Clark batted her arm away for what felt like the thousandth time that night and glanced down at his purple boots.

He looked up as Toni Taylor, dressed as Black Canary , called his name.

Lois glared at Clark from across the room and snorted. 'This is what happens if he doesn't summon the nerve to ask me out!'

"Lex, darling! Or should I call Superman? Dance with me," Lois whispered and Clark's head snapped up!

No, this wouldn't do, Clark thought. Swiftly, he slipped out the door and spun into his suit.

A sudden hush fell through the hall as Superman stepped in, hands on the hips, in his usual commanding Superman stance. But then, he was surrounded by women, giggling and fawning all over him.

Within two minutes he fled the scene when one woman began to rapidly unzip his suit while others were forcefully groping him.

Lois danced with Lex, oblivious to all this fuss over Superman's sudden arrival and abrupt exit.

"Lex, you are my super man," Lois purred into Lex's neck.

"May I cut in?" asked a gruff, unfamiliar voice.

"NO" two voices spoke as one.

One was Lex and the other was... Mayson Drake!

Well, she was hanging on to Clark's arm and wouldn't let go!

Lois stared in shock at Mayson while the man who'd originally spoken raised a querying eyebrow at Clark. "Kent?"

Clark stared in shock at Dan "call me Daniel" Scardino dressed as Extraño.

"You seem familiar... or not," Lex said cooly. "Would you care to introduce yourself?"

Ann (who has no idea who Extraño is)

Daniel looked down at himself. "I'm...uh, Dracula or something, I guess."

Just call me Daniel," he decided.

As he spoke he stepped closer to Luthor, holding out his hand.

Ann (who usually didn't read those DC stories that were full of other characters, and showed little of Superman and nothing of Lois. Thanks for the info, Patrick!)

Before Lex could answer (or protest), Dan yanked him away and whirled them both past the buffet table, where Franklin Da Klingon was munching on cheesepuffs.

"Yooooou trying to steeeeeeal my cheeeezepuffs?" a decidedly basso, menacing and rather Klingonese voice rumbled.
