Ooh, love it, Phil! Very clever ploy, and he pulled it off very smoothly, or at least it seems so thus far. Of course, the *really* interesting part will be when Lois finally gets around to reacting to it <g> Any chance you could write & post that one soon??? Please????

Not that I'd object to more Imbalance, either, you understand wink

Simply brillant! clap clap

Nicely done, Phil.

The funny thing is, that I guessed what route the story was going to take from the title. I can't truly say why. Maybe it was just a combination of the challenge idea and the fact that I'd had a similar idea percolating in my head. Whatever the reason, I'm glad I never got around to it.

A typically excellant job of presenting the situation, but you've really left yourself a dilemna now. The gentle readers will not rest until you've satisfied their *NEED* for 'the rest of the story'.

Tank (who would love to see Phil tackle a story about Lois and Clark finding a 'Superman' comic book ala his immortal Couch Potatoes)

Funny, from the title I thought he was going to fain amnesia. I don't know how Tank figured it out. goofy

So don't just sit there, start writing! Hurry! You've got a lot to do, so get to it! wildguy

Um... blush help So you liked it, then? laugh

Well, good, but there isn't very much more at present, and it was somewhat low in the priority queue. Sounds like this might have to change; wish RL was so accomodating at present...

FWIW, I am working on Imbalance and CP2 (though I haven't got as far as the "Real Polyester" line yet smile ) -- just very intermittently. With all the stuff I've had to write for work of late, my Muse is feeling somewhat in need of a vacation. However, they are coming, albeit with a speed more reminiscent of a glacier than Superman, and this one may have to join them if it's that popular.

I promise nothing in terms of timescale, though, and certain of my colleagues can testify to my stubbornness in this regard... so don't hold your breath!

Oh, and Tank, someone suggested some time ago that I do a CP on the Superman Red-Superman Blue TPB, so a comic CP may eventuate, but not for quite a while. Suggestions for which comic (because I don't own SR-SB and am not particularly interested in chasing after it) will be received with thanks.

Phil -- so many fics, so little time... wink

Nice, Phil!

I especially liked the part where he thinks in super-speed goofy

I, too, would like to see some more of it.

See ya,

Thanks for the link, O Queen; I knew of it and the site already, but your helpfulness is appreciated nonetheless. However, that wasn't the SR-SB story the person in question meant (sorry to be so vague about her identity, but it was in a mailing list post that's stored at work); that's the good one. She meant the more recent storyline featuring Electri-Kals Red and Blue (or Positive and Negative as they are known to some fans), with which she was not impressed. I think she wanted me to express L&C's horror at the whole idea... smile And she has a point.
