Well, no one can complain about a lack of A-plot in this section.
Nice little foreshadowing with the Ras, although Nor's mom was a no-brainer. I like the reasonable explanation you gave for Jor-El to not only send his son away from the others, but also to break a long-held taboo in specifically choosing Earth. At the same time, though, you didn't address the question of how Jor-El could hope that the infant would be found by people and not, say, a hungry fox or something.
Since we're moving away from the politics and machinations of NK and moving into the NK arc proper, I'm still along for the ride. Great background story, Rac, and I'm looking forward to MORE!
