Well, I've heard it said, "the subconscious knows."

Uh, this doesn't feel like a stand-alone story to me - more like the first chapter of a great epic.

I'll be watching the boards with interest to see if you decide to expand your intriguing idea into serious fanfic territory.

I think your muse took over and gave the plot of an extended multi-post story, not just a one-timer.

And it's screaming nfic version, too.

Yup, what Ethnica said. This is the taster for a much longer story. Enquiring minds what to know how Clark ended up with Mayson, how long he's been married to her, and if he's going to stay with her - and what Mayson and Lois think about all of this!
