Yay! I'm eagerly awaiting more.

Interesting that Freeman and Straker have figured out that if there are preservers of the time stream, there must be disrupters too.

Could this mean that Tempus might make an appearance?

Also - please, blue arrow on new part! Thanks.

Oops. It's got a blue arrow now.

And neither Straker nor Freeman are slouches in the smarts category. cool

I was thinking we'd be gettting a visit from Tempus as well. Unless there is someone else who wants to help Trask... eek There's a scary thought. Maybe Jefferson Cole(or is it Kole)... he did have that great hologram / mirage maker machine that could quite easily have come alien technology or the future. Hhhmmm.

So the dream isn't a dream it's a flashback to when Wells came to visit. Interesting. Why would Wells chose to visit Straker in 1983? Was there something significant about that date? Or what SHADO was doing in the movie business (do we get to find out which movies were produced by this company?) smile1

So, how do you stop someone who wants to change the world for the worst? jawdrop

For a second there I thought you had based it on a real movie studio, then I Wikipedia'd it. Now, I see that this is a crossover story. I'll have to check out that show. Sounds like something my husband would like, being a fan of what-was-it? Space:1999? Sorry, if I gave away your secrets. wink

And the plot thickens! smile1 Very intriguing! Like how you've drawn Wells further into this plotline- can't wait to see what more rolls out- like the disrupters of sort- just Tempus? Something more elaborate? We shall have to wait and see...

Straker muttered something under his breath. It sounded like an obscenity, something Straker rarely indulged in unless it was for theatrical effect. Freeman was certain that Straker wasn’t swearing for effect right now.
Oh, Straker didn't 'remember' it, either.

Apparently, in at least one possible future, I survived the effects of the X-50 drug long enough to try to use SHADO’s technology to divert the asteroid,” Straker said.
