I agree: That really was evil!

Hope we get part 8 soon to know what happened!

Well done, Lois and Kal El both down.

Clark Kent out of town still out of town so no one to wonder what is up with him.
OOH! That WAS evil!! Rarely do we have BOTH Lois and Superman hurt at the same time! Wondering what will happen next... thumbsup
Oh my! hyper Better not leave us hanging too long.

I love seeing how Lois' feelings for Clark are evolving. Especially this:

Quote
Superman talking with Clark’s voice was a devastating combination. There was no denying the attraction she felt for this man. Also, Superman or not, he was vulnerable. He needed her, and that made him even more attractive
Bob has a reputation for waffiness, but he can be truly evil when he wants to be. And we get both in this part. Well done. thumbsup
Hmm... Let me see... Oh, yeah!

That about covers it.

I never expected the shooter at the press conference. Or, at least, I never expected a Kryptonite bullet. It was more a simple case of crowd incited police violence. Pillaging gangs. Crazed mobs. Burnt down cities. Things like that. But shooting Superman? Oh boy.

Quote
Lois expected a shout from the policeman at any moment. It didn’t come.
I take it, Mr. Law & Order is a Lex-man, too. Hired to kill the shooter, unfortunately, only after the tragic killing of Superman. I do wonder what Lex will say when he learns that his pet cop wounded and almost killed Lois. And that is, *after* he failed to kill the shooter, who in turn only injured Superman. Oh boy.

So, next part... now? Please? Pretty please?

Michael, who wonders if Bob's Angst Meter shorted out a fuse, thus allowing this much angsty violence into the story.
Oh that was good, very good! But you gotta come back real soon and give us what happens next... please!?!

Yes, this part was a bit… rough on Lois and Clark. I guess I should have posted a disclaimer that there will be no permanent WHAMs in this story. But obviously there will be some injuries along the way.

What happened!
Lex had a plan. Unfortunately, not everyone involved was completely briefed on all the possible contingencies. (Meaning if the policemen would have realized who Lois was to the Boss, he would have never risked shooting her.)

DW:
Okay, it was a little evil. It wont be too long for part 8.

There was a 2 for 1 special in the evil-plot store.

But nice waffy beginning to the chapter
I’m glad someone noticed. See, not all evil.

scifiJoan:
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed the more personal part of the chapter.

HappyGirl:
A pinch of WAFF and a dash of evil. Bring to a slow boil.

We all see angst differently. For me the real angst was all in part 1. Lois and Clark in conflict is angst for me. As long as they are going to be okay in the long run – and the lack of that WHAM warning is a dead giveaway that they will – then this isn’t really that angsty.

Elizabeth:
I’ll get the next part up as fast as I can.

Thank you all again.
Bob
You, sir, are evil!

I am thoroughly enjoying the story, and am keeping this short so that I can dive right into the next part, in which Lois and Clark both recover from their wounds -- right? Right?

Too true.
But I LOVED that as a place to stop. evil
In a fit of extreme evilness I asked Bev about ending it there. spider
The bruise took three days to heal.
