As you might have guessed, the movie they went to see was The Time Traveler's Wife. Let me know what you think.

Beautiful, Shayne. I loved the easy dialog between them and the way they both handled a sensitive topic with understanding and humor. A sweet peek into a mature marriage and the tension between acknowledging the true risk that is part of every life and still enjoying life in the midst of the risk.

This has such a wonderful and thoughtful yet melancholy feel. I have the book (The Time Traveler's Wife) and that is the description that I would apply to it also.

I like your ending much better than the book. (The book ending is good, but far too sad for my tastes.)

that's such a sweet thoughtful conversation to have in response to the movie...

What a beautiful little vignette, Shayne. It is melanchly and life-affirming at the same time. And it is a beautiful tribute to love.

I was perfect that Clark would know exactly how many times Lois's life had been in danger, but Lois herself would not keep count.

Beautiful! And welcome back!

Hi, that was such a lovely little snippet of L&C's future (or present day I suppose) married life. smile

I know there was a sad side to it, but it was nice to have a glimpse of them having an everyday conversation after a trip to the cinema, just like so many couples do, the difference being of course that only they could really relate 'The Time Travellers Wife' to their own situation!

It was sweet too, as metioned above, that Clark had kept count of how many times Lois' life had been in danger.

It was lovely and very soft but filled with emotion. I liked the story.

Nice little vignette smile
Quote
“I hardly ever almost die now,” she said, smiling up at him.

“Seven times,” he said.

“What?”

“Seven times in fourteen years.”

“And forty seven in the five years before that,” Lois said. “Like I said…better odds.”
That was hilarious. Especially the hardly ever almost dying bit rotflol

Shayne, a lovely little story - liked the reference to the Time Traveller's Wife.

That was a nice appetizer, but my hunger is not sated. I happen to know you are an author is more than capable of putting together a novel-length dip in the L&C waters. Would like to read more from you soon.

the book was so depressing that I don't want to see the movie.

However, Shayne, you did an awesome little vignette.
