Ack! Now what will Lois do?

I loved seeing Lois and Clark work together in this context, though. Lois' inner narrative makes me smile.

Nicely done.

Aargh! Secret government agents, Leo Nunk (haven't seen him for awhile and I kind of missed him), Clark's secret exposed! Can everyone be kept quiet? Can Lois be safe?

Don't leave it on this evil cliffhanger! Post more soon!

Ahh gaaaahhh!!!! What a story!!! It's masterful, but it's killing me!!!

I love seeing Lois and Clark like this. Their instant connection is coming through so beautifully. I couldn't help laughing at Lois's imprompty kissing of Clark in the car to cover up their real activities. It's Honeymoon In Metropolis all over again, but this way it really was much nicer!

Again, I love seeing Lois and Clark like this. They don't have all that baggage of hurt and resentment, just fresh, instant bonding.

But that's a heck of an A-plot you are cooking up for us! What will Lois do now? Will she put her feelings for Clark before a potentially Pulitzer-winning scoop? And what will happen to Nunk, Franklin Hodge and whoever has been trying to kill Lois and Clark in this story?

jawdrop You can't leave it there. Come back and tell us how things end.

I've always wondered what Lois would have done if she learned Clark's secret, before she and Clark built their friendship/relationship. Lois of Season I, even the middle of Season I, would have run with the story IMO.

Here, you have the start of something between Lois and Clark, but it's just on the cusp. Will Lois write the story and expose him? I don't think so, but she may convince him to give her the Superman story. How are they both going to end up at the Planet at the end of this?

I told you so many loose ends to tie up. Come back!

I love secret government cover ups.

As for Lois...I believe she would run the story if she had never met Clark or his parents...but so far we've never had a tv show episode or a story like that as far as I know, so I'll assume she'll cave in a fit of ethics and protect Clark.

Looking forward to the conclusion!

Aaaaeeee!!!! clap It doesn't help that this is appearing at the same time as "From the Runis" that speaks so eloquently to what can go wrong if Lois makes a certain choice.

I loved the whole part but a very anxious as to what will be in part 3. Especially since this will apparantly be 3 of 3.

OMG! This is an awesome story!! I screamed when it came to the end, i wanted it to continue!

Love how original this fic is!! Truly amazing stuff. Can't wait to see the next (and final) chapter!

I think it's interesting that Lois is giving second thoughts to the idea of printing what she suspects about Clark.

I also think it's interesting that she takes the information at face value. It would be an easy shortcut for either the NASA geeks or for Nunc to take to just alter an existing photo. Of course, I live in an age of Adobe Photoshop.

Great stuff!

I too love the instant connection between Lois and Clark and Lois realizing that he really is a great guy. smile

I do worry about the government showing up. Poor Clark!

Are you sure there is only one part left? I hope it is not a tank ending! wildguy Seems to me to get the resolution we all want would take longer. laugh

To all of you who posted feedback - Thank you so much.

I hadn't written anything for a long time (12 years!) - even then it was mundane stuff done to help support the family coffers.

This was such fun to write - and sharing it with you - and receiving such awesome feedback - made it so much more enjoyable.

So again .... many, many thanks.

What a cliffhanger! I'm glad I hadn't read it before because now I don't need to wait to read part 3! [Linked Image]

Very nice part, FH!

Regarding Perry: I can so understand that. How to place an important tidbit in there if it's not in the POVs you want wave

I see what you mean.

IIRC Perry in the pilot was a little more tense than for the rest of the series. I remember watching it years later and being surprised at his grumpiness.

I didn't deliberately write it like that, but maybe it was sitting somewhere in my subconscious.

Thanks a lot for your thoughts!

This was great. I'd write more, but I need to go read part 3 before I scream!
