So the Kryptonian Elders are my idea of odd guests ... eat, attend a ceremony, eat, attend another ceremony and go home ... “Let me check,” Clark tried a telepathic call, /”Kids?”/ There was no reply. With a puzzled expression he said, “It’s like they just dropped off the face of the Earth! Where could they be? If I didn’t know better, I’d think that Herb had a hand in this. You haven't seen him have you? I sure haven't.” He looked at Lois.
They both thought about that possibility for a few seconds before they both shook their heads and said, “Naaaah.”
A few seconds later, with a worried look, Lois asked, “It couldn’t be … could it?” Yup, Lois they could...

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.

A few seconds later, with a worried look, Lois asked, “It couldn’t be … could it?” Actually, if you read closely, they arrive after the minister departs and after being greeted immediately proceed with the bonding. Then they eat and mingle. It is only after Trey has his talk with Clark and Lois that they leave.

I have to admit it took me a while to figure out why we got these sections again, because they were pretty much word for word what we had received elsewhere.
I have to also say I am surprised that Lois did not punch Trey in the stomach for suggesting she is a concubine.

I assume "your cousin and his wife" means JJ and Ahttie, but it seems odd only one cousin is present, JJ has siblings right?

JJ and Hattie work at the Planet so they see Lois and Clark on a daily basis. JJ's siblings are all married and moved away. Jimmy and Lucy are spending a quiet time at home.
