/me faints...

Wow... what a night <g>. On August 19, Pel sent the first draft to me, and here we are, almost four months later... but I have to admit that it was well worth the wait wink

Well... there was some gorgeous writing in there -- especially the para that Sara quoted. You darned near broke my heart. But it stopped too soon! Come back and give me my happy ending, darn it! <pout>

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
"I have a...."
"Oh, shut up."

This is so good, so very, very good.

And sad, so very, very sad.

And it's how many parts before you give Pam her happy ending?!

I'd like a bit of that, too, I have to say.

Lyrical, Pel. You're a wordsmith.

Very nice and oh so achingly sad.

Looking forward to reading more Pel. You write beautifully.

Clark: No.
Lois: Oh come on, Clark, why do we go through this? We both know I’m going to go.
Clark: Then why do you ask?

Oh yay! Pel posted the first part!

It's so hauntingly, lyrically beautiful. And so incredibly realistic.

I'm going to need a lot of tissues for this . . .

I am speachless. It's absolutely beautiful. You are such a multi-talented bird laugh . Your trailers are amazing, and your writing is absolutely lyrical. My heart totally went out to Lois. Her parents really messed her up frown .

Hurry up with the next part!

Ahm... I guess it's just a piece of fluff I started writing some time ago.
Well, I have nothing against fluff. In fact, I absolutely *adore* fluff...but from what I see here, this isn't fluff. Nothing that so poignantly describes the hurt and devastation that young Lois is feeling on this cold December day can possibly be called fluff. mecry

As others have said, your prose is beautiful. I want to read more. Now. Any time. Yesterday wouldn't be soon enough. ::stamping foot impatiently:: Where is Pam's happy ending?

I'm sure Pelican would be very pleased to see that you guys are asking for Part Two, but unfortunately she doesn't appear to be online at the moment and has to deal with some rather serious issues in her RL. I assure you, Part Two is well worth waiting for, and I'm sure that she'll have it out to you guys just as fast as she can.

Sara.
