SJH, What can I say? It just seems like everything I write turns into an epic.

Hi D.C. quote: Years ago he had purchased the entire building so that he could prevent it from being demolished.
How'd he get so wealthy? It's easy. He's got 90 years. Buy some stocks the first year Lois disappeared and keep them. They go up eventually, no matter the market's ups and downs. Maybe it was his one positive ray of sunshine after she was kidnapped. He'd have money if she ever came back. That's how the Rockefellers and Vanderbilts did it. r/ Artemis

Oooh! I can hardly wait for the expanded edition!

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.

Hi Morgana,
I'll try to not disappoint you. So far it is going well.
Right now I'm taking a break from it to go over some beta on Volume 6. As soon as that is done I'll be jumping back on Aurora.

Hi Artemis,
That was precisely what I had in mind coupled with the fact that over time, as the property aged the value would have declined.
I had pictured the building being scheduled for demolition to make way for a new high rise and he bought it to prevent that from happening.

I have to admit the expanded edition sounds like it will be very emotionally searing.
I liked this story though. I figured Clark would come back in the end, but maybe that is just because I am an optimist.
Actually, what seemed odder to me is how Lois reinserts herself into society after being gone 90 years.

Hi John,
Actually, when you stop to think about it, the way they went about it works out.
They took the rest of the summer as a vacation. During that time she would have reaclimated to the new period. Since he had kept all of her stuff, all of the documents needed to reestablish her identity were available.

The authorities didn't think in his depression Clark created a clone of his missing wife. Being that 90 years in the future, people like Luthor had made cloning commonplace in Metropolis.

Hi Virginia, I really don't want to give too much away, but I will say that I will get into that in the expanded veersion.
