Did you go see "Brave" this past weekend, Ken? wink That's who your heroine reminded me of. thumbsup

Sean and Heather were adorable. So sad about Mr. Halverson. When I heard that his Doctor's name was Ferguston, I thought he might be related to Sean's first love... but it was another one of your sneaky red herrings! hyper

This opening reminded me of the opening of your romance between Jon and his first love that for a moment I thought it might be the same gathering, but I think the characters are a bit old to be teenage girls (although maybe not Lucy) on the beach.

Thank you for satisfying my daily dose of romance. clap

Hi Virginia,

Thanks for the FDK!

The names have been changed because I couldn't remember the real ones. The first ER scene was one I lived through as one of the staff.

The brother/sister dialogue was fun to write.

5 more to go. I don't know if I can get them all done by the deadline of the ficathon challengez, nut I'll try.

Sean and Heather are cool! Loove the Scottish accent.

That Doctor does not have the right to decide how long a person can live or die. ESPECIALLY if their spouse is there. Just my rant.

Hi Morgana,

Unfortunately that was exactly the way it played out. He tied our hands and kept us from doing any of the numerous things we could have done to save his life. His wife was too grief stricken to the point of being shockey to say anything let along try to contradict the doctor's order. All she could do was sit there hold his hand and weep for her partner of so many years. It was heart rending and totally frustrating.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the FDK.

I'm glad you liked my little story.

Heather is a combination of a Scottish woman I know and my niece who happens to ne named, oddly enough, Heather.

BTW: her brother's name is Sean. I've mixed up the family relationships somewhat. sloppy
