Funny!  Yes, Clark's summer was definitely hot! Still hard to imagine it happened before the arrival of a certain burnette!

Poor Clark! At least he discovered this new skill BEFORE he met his friends at the 4th of July picnic.  I love Martha's casual acceptance of Clark's abilities. Can I adopt her?

Woo-hoo! Hot summer indeed! Good thing Martha doesn't know what he was thinking of when he got... distracted. I think they should invest more in popcorn production than corn crops. Great job! Really loved this.

Hi Lonnie! “Clark, can you butter those cornhusks for me while I finish up the apple pie?” Martha asked, her hands deep in pie dough. Junior Clark story? Clark, Pete, Rachel Harris, Adam and Marty were to meet in the central gazebo. Lana Lang would also be there. Interesting how he uses first and last names for the girls. On the second read, it feels that he’s really thinking about them a lot. Well, duh! They were playing and splashing each other when suddenly he raised his eyes and she was there. Lois? Clark still hasn’t moved as he remembered how Lana raised her arms to pin her long blond hair up. The movement caused her –

Fun little story! Poor Clark - at least his heat vision kicked in *before* the picnic. And I just *adore* how casual Martha is about the whole thing! Gotta love her! Great ficlet and congrats on posting your first one. Hope to be seeing more from you in the future!
