As for Clark calling Perry instead of Lois, the funny thing is I initially planned for Clark to call Lois. But it just didn't work out that way... Clark, in giving the bullet to Perry and telling him to use it if he had to - implies Clark still isn't all that confident about his control of the powers, yes? Good thing that Clark called Perry. I think Lois would have insisted he go to a hospital, and that wouldn't do. Perry - glad that he's figured out stuff. (If you can't tell, I love Perry.)

It was a lot of fun for me to do some stuff with him. Lane Smith did such a great job of breathing life into the character that it's fun to kind of take Perry White places occasionally...
