"She asked for the truth. I don’t think she expected it to sound like this."

That one line says so much. We think we know how things are, but when we make the effort to really listen to each other, we find out how much we didn't know. Thank you for letting Lois really listen to Clark, and for letting Clark really share the truth as he saw it with Lois.

Great job. thumbsup

A happy ending! (I'm a sucker for those)

Great story, Bob. And very interesting it was to have Lois see how Clark saw things. Not what she expected at all.

I agree with Happy Girl this is a great line and it is so true

Hi Bob,
Sorry for not posting comments on the individual parts, but I did want to let you know how much I enjoyed your version of TOGOM. It was nice to see Clark tell Lois about himself rather than let her suffer, but it was also realistic that Lois would blow a gasket at first.

Thanks for giving them the emotional strength to work through the trust issues and for the happy ending. And the smoochies. I always love a good smoochie. sloppy

Oh, and just for the record, if you write an epilogue or a sequel, I would read it.

Very nice story, Bob. I'm a sucker for happy endings too, especially if they end near the ceiling!
cool

Thank you all for your kind words!!

I'm glad it was enjoyable. And for those of you that have read my work before, was there really any doubt that there would be a happy ending? smile1

This was a story that kept changing under me.
First, I never intended to write a sequel to 100 Meters.
Then, it started out so negative that I didn't know what to do with it.
Then, it was supposed to be finished in three parts.
And finally, in part 5 there is this:
Quote
Do you want my version of the truth, or do you want me to say it’s all my fault for being stupid?
and this
Quote
When I came over, I was ready to take all the blame,
This is what did happen in first outline of Part 5. However, when I reviewed Season 1 to prepare for this, I realized that if you look through Clark's eyes, it all made a certain sense. I don't think it comes close to excusing all of his lunkhead actions, but there was more there than I ever thought. Anyway, I ended up completely rewriting Part 5 based on that idea.

I have no plans for any more for this story. But that IS what I said last time. smile

Again, thank you all for making the journey with me.

Bob

Michael:
Thanks for the note. I believe that they will be much better positioned to communicate after this mess.

Corrina:
I'm glad you liked the end. After Part 3 you said this:
Quote
Offering her the story - that's a new take.

Clark must feel like he has lost everything - his life as Clark, his secret as Superman and of course, Lois.

I'm hoping you can pull a happy ending out of this mess, Bob!
Neither of them was exactly thinking straight. Offering her the story would completely abrogate the need to be dead. But, as is the case just about any way you approach these events, Clark wasn't thinking.

As for finding a way to a happy ending... I'm an absolutely hopeless romantic and I can't imaging ever developing a story that didn't end in love

Thanks for the note.
Bob
