Hi from the land of the sick! Fun times with lots of medication wink when I'm not coughing up lungs. I couldn't find a way to make this fit into the silly revelation challenge, so I'm posting it here instead. Robitussin is fun stuff. smile

Robitussin

Clark Kent stepped into the elevator on the ground floor of the Daily Planet and immediately began a fit of coughing. He fumbled out a hankerchief in his pockets and blew his nose while he waited for his floor. Several people eyed his obvious plight of sickness and slowly edged away as far as they could…which wasn’t very far considering they were all in the elevator with him.

“Sorry,” Clark mumbled out. So this is what’s it’s like to be sick, he thought miserably. Of course he would come in contact with Kryptonite the same week the flu was going around. But he took plenty of medication earlier this morning, and it was just now starting to kick in. In fact…he was starting to feel a little warm and fuzzy. He took a small breath and carefully folded up his hankerchief and put it back in his pocket. The elevator stopped on his floor and he stepped off. Clark stepped out and stumbled over to the coffeestand where Lois was pouring herself a cup.

“Clark? You look a little pale…make that a lot pale! For God’s sakes, go home and get some rest!” Lois exclaimed.

“Oh, I’m fine,” Clark answered stuffily with a grin. Man, was that stuff making him feel good! What was it called again? “I took a bunch of um…Robi—Robison? No that’s not it.” Was the room supposed to spin? Oh well, it was awfully fun!

“Robitussin?” Lois asked warily. Clark nodded happily. “Oh boy…Perry, what exactly does Robitussin do to you if you take too much?” She called down into the Pit.

Perry traveled up the ramp and took a good look at him. “Clark, *go* *home*. You’re sick. You need sleep.”

“Nah, I’m not sick; I’m Superman!” Clark slurred out happily. “Wanna see the suit?” He took off his jacket and started undoing his tie.

“Uh, son, how much Robitussin did you take this morning?” Perry said as he fought with Clark to keep his shirt on.

“Oh, you mean the red stuff? It was good, but they don’t put enough in one bottle. Now what did I do with the cape today? You gotta see the whole outfit with the cape on!”

“Uh, huh. Lois, uh, why don’t you see that he gets home…preferably with all his clothes on? He just needs to sleep it off.”

“Right, Chief.” Lois rolled her eyes and picked up Clark’s tie and jacket that were now scattered on the floor. “C’mon, Clark.” She started pushing him towards the elevator.

Clark started to protest. “But I didn’t get to show anyone the suit!” He tried unbuttoning his dress shirt again, but Lois grabbed his hands and held them in place. The elevator couldn’t come fast enough for her. It finally ‘dinged’, and Lois shoved him inside. “Now can I show you?” Clark asked impatiently as the door closed.

“Fine, already!” If Clark wanted to take off his shirt, whatever. As long as he kept his pants on.

“Yay!” Clark started to unbutton his shirt and flashes of blue and red started to show themselves.

“Oh my god.”
