The Staff Said, "No!"
by Elisabeth

Clark wants to wed Lois, but the staff will not let them wed.

"We shall not let them wed," fuss the staff. "If we let them wed my fun will be over. We will make a clone."

So the staff clone a gal to wed Clark. Clark did not want to wed the gal, but he was tricked. He is glum with no Lois to wed.

"We shall not let them wed," fuss the staff. "If we let them wed my fun will be over. We will make her forget."

So the staff make her forget. She is tricked. "Clark is bad?" Lois asks. She is mixed up. "Lex will be my chum."

"We shall not let them wed," fuss the staff. "If we let them wed my fun will be over. She will spot a pal."

"I will be your pal," the doctor says. "I will help you." But he is no help. He did not want Clark to wed Lois. He wants Lois to be mixed up.

"Clark is not bad," Lois recalls. "I shall wed Clark."

"We shall not let them wed," fuss the staff. "If we let them wed my fun will be over. We will send a bad gal."

The staff sent a gal to mess up the wedding, but she did not win.

"God wants them to wed!" gasps the staff. "My fun is over."

The fans cheer.

Clark weds Lois, and they live happily ever after.
