It was harsh but I found Prugatory effecting me more that way than What makes a man. I read the first chapters only once but the rest of the fic at least 4-5 times.
If you read Dandello's SR fics you will find the emotional suffering unbearable. While Saavikam (The Planet/FF.NET) is an expert to the physical part.
I prefer both kinds in a story. That's why I like so much those fics and I write mine that way too:o
