Wow. That was an interesting visit to Steele's early life. It might explain a lot about him and how he got to be the con man he was when he adopted the role of Remington Steele.

I hope you can post the next part soon. From experience, I know that the longer you wait between parts, the harder it is for people to keep things straight and they finally decide to wait until the whole story is finished to read it. I was pretty much forced to take long periods of time between parts for a number of stories last year, and it had that effect.

In any case, don't stop. I want to see how this comes out.

Oh wow, you know, I always imagined Remmington having a rough life growing up--it was the best explanation for his many varied abilities--survival skills. You really brought it to life here though. Just rip my heart out, you did warn us, though, at the beginning.
