Perhaps they won't meet again until Clark applies for a job at the Daily Planet? Well, she told him she was working for that newspaper. Perhaps that's why Clark decided to apply for a job there?

And will Lois still think he is a hick from Nowheresville when Perry pairs her with Clark?
