I'm looking for a specific fic I read years ago:
It was set in an Alternate Universe where Clark never left Smallville and Lois married Luthor. The marriage still ended badly (though I don't remember if for the same reasons as in the show).
After the divorce Lois goes to Smallville - I think it's a random choice and she just picked someplace no one would look for her in order to get away from everything and everyone for a while.
She rents a room from Clark and his parents (don't know if they run a B&B on the side, or just rent out the one room for whatever reason). Clark is the one to bring her "room service" I think?? She gets to know him over the course of her stay and falls in love with him. (And vice versa. Of course 😄)
I also cannot remember if she finds out about his abilities. She might and then convince him to become superman and come with her to Metropolis...? But I might be mixing this up with another story.
I'm only really sure about Lois' reason for being in Smallville and that she first meets Clark there.
I was pretty sure it was a Kerth award winner or nominee (it was awesome!), but I went through every single AltVerse/AU fic listed and couldn't find it. 😕
Does it sound familiar to anyone??
