Ah, I really liked this. Lois being concerned enough for Star that she'll overlook her cynicism about astral projection. Looking forward to seeing them both turn up in 1969! Who's going to have the flowers in their hair? (Clark, I'm looking at you)

This is a fun idea. I've always loved Star. Curious for more.

It makes sense that they're worried about Star. This story reminded me of a viral post from a guy who claimed he was chased by a man with a scimitar during an astral projection and came back spiritually damaged. So I definitely think Star's adventure has the potential to be dangerous! And I'm curious to learn more about Woodstock '69.

Stories are written by the victors.
(Hmm, come to think of it, that's not the exact quote...)

I think this is the first thing of yours that I've read since A Bird in Hand. Looking forward to this!

Going on an astral journey to Woodstock ‘69.

I really love Star in stories.

'You sure about this?’ Clark asked, glasses already half tipped.

lol I love that image!

‘This says that it’s possible for someone to get lost in the astral realm,’ Lois declared the next evening.

I love when she's in a take-charge, dog-with-a-bone research mood!

but he’d learned it was better to put the pieces together himself than interrupt her process.

rotflol That's so funny!

‘But you have to admit, we’ve seen some pretty unusual stuff over the years. I mean, it wasn’t that long ago our souls were transported back into the bodies of our past lives. Is this really so far-fetched?’

I love this take because I feel like I would be ready to consider just about anything at this point if I were living this life! An open sort of skepticism makes so much sense for her!

It had been given to them by a good friend, as a way of contacting him, if they should need it. For use in emergencies only.
‘Herb?’ he asked cautiously.

Cool! A fob for Herb! So fun and definitely hijinks incoming with this set-up!

Quote
‘It’ll be different this time,’ Lois assured him.

I laughed out loud.

Clark cocked a brow. ‘Should it worry me that you seem excited about this?’

YES! lol

Quote
He knew that look. He'd fallen in love with that look.

Awwwww. Okay, well that was a delightful little coda to this set-up.

Just in case.

Excited to see where this is going!

Looking forward to this summer's Location Challenge! Looks like stories are due around August 1st, and then polls open for voting!

And don't forget about the 2026 fundraiser! Head over to the Fundraising page to donate or consider adding a story to the Keepsake Collection fundraising drive!
