There's precedent for a female Robin; in Batman: The Dark Knight Returns a kid called Katie Carie(?sp) helps Batman, more or less against his will, and becomes Robin. Of course super powers would help.
People are going to get very confused by all the replacements - a new Batman, a new Robin, and a new Shadow Woman all turning up in Gotham over a short period is going to attract a lot of attention.
