"I take it your meeting with Ms.Lane was productive?"
Martha felt the hope springing up for the first time in years
"Not exactly in the way you're thinking"
Only to be smashed on the rocks.
"Martha, I've just met Ms.Lane's son. He's Clark's"

Martha couldn't see through the tears, a tight chest, difficulty speaking
