Okay, Chris, I have a sneaking suspicion that my comments are one of those things that are making you a bit frazzled, so this time I'll mostly tell you that I love this! Go, Lois! I love it when you are so brave, and when you jump in without checking the water level first, and when you are so embarrassed and self-conscious and you still manage to put all of that aside because you love Clark Kent! And don't trust that Archangel Marcus, Lois. The way he's talking, the way he is regarding human beings as pawns to be sacrificed so that some sort of Grand Design can be achieved in the far future... Don't you know that that's the way all tyrants are talking, to justify the way they let people die? But, Chris. You've quite made me like Kilmartin, and I do believe he didn't kill Martin after all! (Sorry... Such a lame joke... ) But what is this horrible stuff about being a Guardian angel???? Chris, thanks for posting so often! Sorry that you are feeling frazzled. I guess you are sacrificing yourself for the greater good of us FoLCs. I'm sure we appreciate it, but don't overdo it and try to have yourself a happy holidays, OK? Your story is certainly brightening the holidays for a lot of us Lois and Clark fans, that's for sure! Ann

I'm going to have to be quick, since my net might not last long, but...
What a place to leave us, Chris!!
What *has* she done?
What's wrong with being his guardian angel? Is it that she had the gall to ask? Is it that she's only a trainee? Is it that she can't handle it? Is it... is it something more?
And... I'm biting my nails here. I loved this part - and I *loved* *loved* *loved* part 5. (Which I'll be back to fdk properly later).
And... where is this going? Will Lois have her wings clipped? Will Clark be left to his devices? Will the council remember that it's Christmas - their most celebrated time of the year? - and show a little heart for once?
As much as I'm hoping that Lois will magically come to life and live happily ever after with Clark, a part of me thinks the guardian angel business would work just as well - after all, who better than an immortal being to be Clark's companion? Clark, who might very will live a very, *very* long time.
I really can't wait to see where this goes. And, I'm *really* loving the journey.
Dave (who hopes he can be back later to leave proper FDK).

Still loving this, Chris. Dave said pretty much everything I could say, but I guess I could add that you're still, in my mind, keeping up with Ms Rowling, inventiveness-wise. One line in the part 5 sticks in my head even now, where Lois needs to take Kilmartin to Clark: She nodded reluctantly, took his right hand in her left, and Thought. Genius! Oh, and another - "Okay, you win. You out-differented me." LOL! Love that. And now here, in part 6, I want to know what's so bad about being a Guardian Angel??? Yvonne

Hi, Great part.
Maria D. Ferdez. --- Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age. MAF

And now here, in part 6, I want to know what's so bad about being a Guardian Angel??? Me too! My breath is caught in my throat here. What a cliffhanger! Lovely chapter, Chris. I liked the continued expansion of this word and getting to know how it operates, even though I may not like the way they DO operate. (Archangel Marcus: ) Heh. Thanks so much for updating this story so often. It's such a pleasure to visit every single day.

I add my "me too" on the thanks for the frequent posting! I'm so hooked! I can't wait to find out why everyone's so freaked out about Lois being Clark's guardian angel. Sounds like Alt-Lois is as feisty in death as she was in life! Way to stand up for Alt-Clark! Susan

Thank you, thank you, thank you... Maria: Clark can hear Lois's heartbeat because, for some weird reason, she has one. All my angels do. Why can he read her mind? Why not? Clark *can* sense Lois on some level. He is telepathic with the (ugh) New Kryptonians. Why not with an angel. That's my reasoning, anyway, although the angels never do get around to figuring it out... Ann: no, I wasn't frazzled because of your comments. It's been that sort of a week. Almost over now, though... To everyone who doesn't like him: Marcus isn't *that* bad... Off to post part seven, wherein you'll find out what the problem with Guardian Angels is. Chris
