Lois forced a smile. "Thank you." Screaming would not be helpful here. "Do you know where they went?"
He shrugged. "Haven't a clue. Unless someone wants to stay here, I don't ask questions. I was just glad he'd found someone to help him."  Where Kari was that the man didn't Kal was talking to her?  How can she let Kal go along with that woman? Why didn't she contact Brenda or Francine? Kari knows that they know him. "It is quite safe," she commented. "And everything you say is confidential, of course."
He sighed. "Well, let's give it a try. What do I do?"
"Just lie back," she said, in a softer voice. "Look at the crystal, and listen to my voice..." You are

If she had to move heaven and Earth, perhaps come back to haunt Perry and explain the story after they'd killed her, she would do it.

Okay, Pam!!!! I've reread HD and caught up with this story!!! The past couple of days I've had a blast reading this wonderful story all over again and now the new stuff!! Way to go!! Now what's going on with this Kari person? I don't like her one bit!! I can't wait for the girls to get hold of her and give a self-defensive back flip!!! Poor confused Kal!! Great stuff!!! Thanks for the comments Why didn't she contact Brenda or Francine? Kari knows that they know him. Actually, she doesn't -- she thinks they *might* but that's the extent of it; it's more likely that they don't know anything. Before the events in Hearts Divided, neither of them knew much of anything about Kal. Kari hasn't got any real reason to expect that two members of the night club dance group would have any information about a semi-regular customer. Plus she's ticked at Francine for not telling her what's happened to Melanie. Quite the scientist is that Brenda. lol, isn't she just? I've reread HD and caught up with this story!
