grumble#it's so hard#grumble#to say#grumble#something original#grumble grumble smile1 , though it should come as no surprise. THe more I read, the more I enjoy and amaze myself. I too liked the group work in order to bring Lex down for good. As that part of the plot seems to positively evolve, you keep bringing new elements and my curiosity just can't hellp its nature. You have me wondering what it Cindy is up to. I also want to see Dan with the 'bimbo'. Superficial+superficial; has to be a perfect match! laugh

But to me, the best thing about this part was than despite all of their doubts and insecurities, you left me feeling that Lois and Clark can work things out. I know you've hinted it before (nad I surely had believed it)but in this section you can feel that Lois is just trying tio be angry, and not quite succeding. She knows Clark couldn't be with someone like Veronica and she knows he loves her and is about to crawl-or rather fly- back to her. Well, she might not know about the crawling part, but what gets through is that she knows it isn't over, or at least feels it, even if she, oh surprise, won't admit it.

I'm not sure I've said it before, but all the supporting characters are great too; they don't only help the story move forward, they are aprt of the story.

Hope I didn't repeat myself, at least not much.

Cris (dying to read the rest of this story yet a little sad to see the end approaching... I said it, it's pure, unhealthy addiction!)

Hi Barb --

Let me first say that I am so impressed by your continued ability to weave an amazing story around a piece of theatre - I've loved each installment in The Smallville Players series - and I am completely in awe of you notworthy

Now - on to this story - This was an excellent part! I love the way everything is coming together for the characters! Like Cristina, I'm eager to read more but sad to see that the story is drawing to a close frown I think I remember reading something about this being part of a trilogy - you won't really abandon this Lois and Clark forever, will you? (all I need is a little hope!)

Again - great part! It even brought me out of lurkdom smile

Hi,

Great part. thumbsup

Quote
Lex opened the middle drawer and took out the list--the list with eight scratched out names and five remaining. He reached for the pen that rested in its marble holder and added yet another name--Jaxon Luthor.

The door opened and Jaxon Luthor entered the study.

Lex silently tore the top sheet of paper off of its pad, folded it and put it into his pocket.
eek Lets hope Jaxon find out first.

Quote
“What is it Clark?” his mother asked coming up on stage.

“Mom, Beatrice, Miss Libby,” he began. “Richard Thurston is....”

“Lex Luthor,” Libby Barton finished.
Finally, they are working together.
Why they haven't tell Lois?

Quote
“She’s not...” Clark began and abruptly stopped. “Scardino, uh...I have to help Beatrice, Libby and my Mom do some special things for the Smallville Players after the show tonight. Could you possibly escort Veronica out for a drink or something and then make sure she gets home, safely?”

“But isn’t she with you?” Dan asked.

“No, not exactly *with* me,” Clark explained. “I would really appreciate it, Dan.”

“Sure, okay, no problem,” Dan said grinning.
She is good for Scardino. rotflol

More soon, please.

Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age.

Thank you Tricia, Cristina, Maria and welcome Shells -- to be your #1 post--WOW! I am really grateful for all your wonderful comments and your encouragement.

Okay -- first of all there will be a part #4. Yes, this was to be the last -- The Final Curtain. But I'll let my loyal supporters know that I've had to dangle a few parts and couldn't resolve them all so there is going to be Smallville Players IV: Encore. You can really thank Laswa, my BR for pushing for it. And I think I, too, would miss these characters and the chance to use theatre as part of the story.

But I do want you to know that most everything will move to a great close in SP3 -- leaving just a couple of issues to use as the players get on with their lives and tackle another play in SP4 bringing in some additional characters -- favorites of all of ours, I hope into this world. Hints will occur in the epilog of SP3.

Parts 18-21 will be posted soon along with the epilog and I hope you like what happens as we complete SP3.

We have to have opening night, closing night, and does our couple get back together?????? What happens to Lex & Jaxon?????? What about Miss Libby??????

Hang in there and thanks again for being there--I appreciate it so very much.

Barb.

You mean I really have to leave some people alive for the next part??????

I promise that there will be some familiar faces plus some new to the series faces.

Thanks again to all of you for the great comments.
