Hi All! I just wanted to see what ya'll were doing for Halloween and what you were going to dress up as. My husband and I are going to go to a Halloween Party as Mr. & Mrs. Incredible.

My department has adopted a Harry Potter theme this year, and they asked ME to dress as Hermione Granger. I look NOTHING like her. Anyone know where I could find a wig?

I've actually seen these "authentic" wigs, but they look NOTHING like Hermione's hair (at least not in the later movies). Thanks for the help, though. malu

Well, Hermione's hair is really bushy and frizzy in the books - the movies prettied it up. But I guess I can see how the movie look is more familiar to people.

This one's a little longer and definitely more sexy but it could work... possibly. Real Hair Wig And it's pretty cheap at the moment. Oops. Messed up on the URL on my original post.

But be VERY careful about checking the shipping cost before you buy anything from Ebay, especially from China. I am in the U.S. and have bought items that I could have sworn had a low shipping cost listed in the description, but when I got the invoice it was $15 shipping for a $1 item that I could have gotten for $3-$4 in a store. It might not be so bad if you are in a different part of the world.

I'm going as Hermione if I can finish my costume. I can do the hair, and I've got the teeth and the attitude. I wonder where I can find a Hogwarts patch by next week...

I have no clue.
I want to be something at work but since we are not allowed to dress up...it's hard. I've been Clark Kent (S-man t-shirt and glasses) and a CNN reporter. I'm stumped.
At night, when I'm giving out candy, I'm not sure. I was thinking just going punk. Nothing original.
I've converted to lurk-ism... hopefully only temporary.

I want to be something at work but since we are not allowed to dress up...it's hard. Ahhh!! That sucks. We have a costume competition every year and there are prizes. I was a gypsy last year. This year I could either wear my victorian maid costume... or pirate costume. I'm thinking pirate since it is soooo much easier to manage.

That's so cool that so many of ya'lls work places do the costume thing... except poor SuperRoo - I'm with you. My place doesn't dress up either. But there's only 3 of us in the office so I guess there's just not enough excitement.

I don't know if I'll even dress up this year--I worked part-time at a haunted house last year and because I wear glasses, I always got the costumes that went completely over the head and covered the entire body. It was hot and we drank a lot of water, so those 10-minute bathroom breaks became a real challenge (go through the hall in character, duck out the exit, hurry down the back hall, wiggle the darn thing over your head . . ., then do everything in reverse). I decided my other job took too much time this year so I didn't go back, but I am hoping to make my yard a little spookier this year with the blacklights and fog machine and maybe freak out more of the neighborhood kids.

we're not very big on Halloween here down under...
but this year a friend is having a bash since she moved in with a girlfriend at uni who is originally from the states or something.....
so now I am going to have to find a costume..... golly gosh..... I've been told there is also a theme of something red.... I think I am going to go as a vampiress with my little black dress and some RED blood dripping down my lips onto my chin or something.....
this is the first time I have ever "celebrated" halloween, but a few years ago little sis went TkorT'ng and when she got back I am not sure who was more frightened her or the neighbours....
apparently she knocked on one house and got our friend's grandmother.... who was home alone, and elderly, and had never even heard of the holiday....
so, little sis came home saying she saw a witch at Roddy's house...

We don't actualy celebrate Halloween here. We do have carnaval in February where we all dress up ... and get drunk . Although some families do decorate their house around Halloween and we have the Halloween movies on TV But I heard on the radio that the top 5 of last years costumes was: 5- Superman 4- Spiderman 3- A witch 2- A pirat and number 1 ... a princess -Camy

Here you go... this is me as Batgirl. The book I'm holding is my Batman training manual. LOL! And the mask looks awful, but I don't really care anymore. hehehe! Yes, I know what you're thinking - everyone else in the office is wondering the same: "Why not Supergirl?" *giggles*
