Hey guys!

I'm sure there are some computer savvy people around here. So here's the thing. I built my own website using Dreamweaver MX, and it's been hosted by my college campus for a number of months. However...I am starting to interview for graduate schools and jobs, and it would be much easier if I had my own personal website address instead of that lengthy school server address. Sooo does anyone know where I should start?

I've poked around a bit on Google, and I've found some different packages, i.e. so much a month for a domain name and web hosting, and email addresses, etc etc...but I'd love to know if anyone can make a recommendation. I just don't know who's credible, or what I should be spending a month, or...

Thanks!
Jen

Jen, ask Annette about gowebserver.com - that's the webhost for these boards, the Kerth website, Annesplace and so on. Annette's been with them a couple of years now and is very happy with the service - both in terms of cost and customer service.

I wish I could help you... frown

I have a couple of websites that I've made on Dreamweaver, but I know nothing about the servers they're on. A friend of mine helped me out with space for them and he's even paying for it too! laugh

Good luck! smile

Oh, killer, Wendy! It didn't even dawn on me to think about the L&C websites. I was like, who do I know with a website? No one. Ah! Anyway, it's a just a little more expensive than some of the other places I've snooped around (since I'm poor as dirt til at *least* college is over in May goofy ) , but it might just soar to the top of the list since it has a good recommendation to go with it. I'd rather pay more and know that my site will be in good hands, so to speak. It's good to hear that Annette has been happy with the experience!

Thanks a bunch!
Jen
