Okay, this is completely off topic, but I'm so excited I have to share. Some of you have been listening to me for the last few weeks rave about Star Wars and so on. That's because my free time has been absorbed entirely by a musical! Star Wars: Musical Edition ! The show covers the first movie, A New Hope, and was written a few years ago by a couple of guys (students and friends of students) and produced by the MIT Musical Theatre Guild in 2003. There were plans to perform the entire trilogy in 2005. They still plan to do that this fall, but in the meantime they've been asked to reprise the original show. Lucasfilm got wind of it and decided it'd be cool to have it shown at Celebration III, the mother of all Star Wars conventions, in Indianapolis. So we're all going to Indiana tonight! It'll involve 16 hours on a bus, but it will be worth it. By Thursday we'll be singing and dancing in front of 3,000 SW fans a day . So wish us luck! I've never been on tour before Kaylle (who really should be packing...)

Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

Karen, thanks for that link! I hadn't seen that one yet! Although they stole that sound clip from the soundtrack of the first time we did this show <g>. We left Indianapolis yesterday and drove all night (through the snow! why in God's name is it snowing at the end of April?!), so we just got back this morning and I spent the better part of today sleeping I'm still trying to put my thoughts into a coherent whole so I can post, but overall we had a fabulous time! Of course, I got a nasty virus on the bus ride down and ended up with the worst sore throat in my life, so I had a little trip to the Indianapolis emergency room , but I was still able to dance and act and lip-synch, and by Sunday I was my old self again. So I survived and it was great fun and I took like five rolls of film's worth of pictures, so I have to get those developed and then I'll be sharing them Thanks for the good wishes, everyone! It really was a fabulous week Kaylle (still singing, "No Roman gods! None Greek or Norse! [Stomp stomp!] Just a Jedi learning the Force..." )

Still no coherent story of all that went on, but in the meantime I do have pictures if people are curious . I hope to sort of write a little blow-by-blow journal but I'm still sort of "bus-lagged" and I'm having trouble making myself get anything done. <g> Anyway, the pictures are here if people would like to see them I'm the one dancing with R2D2 Kaylle
