Well, I missed this one the first time around. You had me going there for a bit<g> Very cute idea. Laura

I remember reading this one the first time it was posted, but I got a good laugh out of it again.

First of all, the punchline is priceless!

I saw where you were headed and watching you move the conversation, inch by inch, in that direction was such fun.

Again, hard for me to believe this was a vignette, as the picture you painted was so fully detailed and vivid.

Man...I think I want to be Hazel! notworthy

Ooooh, that was great! I didn't catch on until the description of the poor old woman-- the sweet tooth and the oven bit.

It seems to me, though, that now you've set up the ideas for some other intriguing takes on classic fairy tales. Snow White told from the falsely accused stepmother's point of view? How about Raphunzel or the Princess and the Pea? More falsely accused women transplanted into a contemporary time and place?

And then there's that whole Prince and sunset thing... care to tell us more??

Thank you, Laura, Nan, Tricia, Karla, CC, and TicToc! smile And good grief, CC, you do know how to turn a girl's head! goofy

For those of you who weren't around or don't remember, this vignette was originally part of Meredith's Fairytale Challenge . If you enjoyed this little story, it's well worth browsing.

Thanks for the FDK! smile
