What is the difference or advantage of the fanfic
mb index and fanfic archive?

Does one have more readily available stories than the other? I have only been to the archive site because I did not know of the mb index.

Do any of you prefer one to the other?
If that is the case, why? Just Curious.

The difference is that the Fanfic mbs index doesn't host stories, Elflinn.

It's a list of the stories posted here on the mbs with links to where they can be found (their TOCs here on the mbs, whether they've also been uploaded to the Archive and can be read there, etc.) and other info (whether it's complete or still being posted).

You won't find any actual stories on the index site.

Thanks LabRat!!

I feel like I am learning more everyday!!
The Lnc world is actually the only type of fanfic
I really become addicted to.

I will become of master of the terminologies and
different ways to access even more great stories.

Yeah, the archive is a library of all the fics people have submitted to it.

Some people post a fic on the MB and don't end up submitting it. Others submit fics to the archive without ever posting on the MB. But considering what LabRat said, the index contains links to the TOCs here at the MB and the TOCs contain links to the actual posts made by the authors.

The one advantage of using the index is that the TOCs here also have links to the comments made about each story when it was posted if you're interested in reading other people's takes.

I think, therefore, I get bananas.

When in doubt, think about time travel conundrums. You'll confuse yourself so you can forget what you were in doubt about.

What's the difference between ignorance, apathy, and ambivalence?
I don't know and I don't care one way or the other.
