Ok, so the trouble with "just checking" at one-mumble AM to see if there might be a new bit of this fic is that there WAS one. Eh, who needs sleep? smile1 I can't decide whether to bet she'll dig up a news piece about the other Lois, or Perry is about to spill the beans.

Maybe if she bribes him with a doughnut . . . wink

Do you know the most surprising thing about divorce? It doesn't actually kill you, like a bullet to the heart or a head-on car wreck. It should. When someone you've promised to cherish till death do you part says, "I never loved you," it should kill you instantly.

Another strong instalment.

It's fun seeing the real Lois peeking out every now and then, but then she slips back and you want to shake her.

Clark is being as thick as ever.

You can post more... now.

Yes, it's 5pm on Saturday (at least, it is here in the UK) and I still haven't posted the next part. Not only that, but I didn't reply to your comments on the previous section. I'm sorry. blush The trouble is (cue sympathetic violins), I haven't had a night in since last Monday, due to back-to-back rehearsals followed by last night's concert. Add to that a fantastic story I'm BRing for someone else plus time online to say farewell to Wendy, and there just ain't enough free hours in the day!

Anyway, not a lot here to reply to, except to say thanks for the encouragement. Tank, I'm operating a different posting policy to my usual one. The old policy was to finish neatly at the end of a scene. The new policy is to find as many mini-cliffhangers as possible to torture...um...keep my readers interested and coming back for more. <g>

(part 8 coming in about 5 hours' time, after I've had my dinner and ogled sufficiently at Dean Cain in the Out Of Time DVD I just rented laugh )
