Ooops.
I forgot to include photos of the beaches. These are real beaches in Costa Rica. Back in 1994 both were pretty much deserted and pristine.
Papagayo Bay is just off of where the current
Four Seasons Resort is located. It is such an exclusive hotel that you have to have room reservations just to get past the gate (deep pockets and celebrity status doesn't hurt, either). They hadn't started building it yet back in 1994.

Photo 3 Langosta Beach is located just past Tamarindo, a small surf town made famous in the mid-90's by the film
Endless Summer II.

Photo 3 Back in 1994 Tamarindo had a splattering a simple motels/hotels, restaurants, and shops (smaller than Smallville) accessed only via a very bumpy dirt road (I should know I lived there for a month or two summer of 1995). Today
Tamarindo more resembles Del Mar, California with its paved roads and fancy shops, restaurants, hotels, and American fast-food chains.

Tamarindo Airport hasn't changed much -- a little more paved

Sunset in Tamarindo Langosta also has changed; there is a fancy resort
Barcelo situated at the cove now. Don't know if skinny-dipping is even possible nowadays.
Maybe if you go out late and are sneaky.
