I fully expected Sam to walk in on Lois kissing, or Lois kissing Clark so her father wouldn't notice her. Great twist, having Sam actually walk in on them goofing off instead. This way, he gets to see his daughter happy and in love instead of getting all slopped up by a ne'er-do-well
“You going to have some time, Lois? And Caleb? For dinner...”

“Maybe... soon... We’re so busy...”
