Lol! Jojo that was absolutely hilarious. You really had been thinking it was Clark, but about halfway there I glanced down at the italicized print and saw it was about Perry. Just a suggestion, but you might want to add some spoiler space so that others don't make the same mistake I did. But even knowing the ending, I thought it was hysterical.
