I was thrilled when Lois decided to fly in the daylight to check out the airport herself. I am proud of her, with Clark's influence she has become much more at ease with her powers while still watching out not to do anything too risky.
I too loved that Lois was able to pick up that something was troubling Superman from watching tv. These two are so great together!
As for the a-plot, I too think Superman is being tested or somebody made sure he was at those two sites and not elsewhere...
